Winter Jackets
Jackets are items of clothing only normally worn when a person is outdoors, there are many different shapes and styles of jackets available. Jackets traditionally tend to be shorter than coats, often being worn from the waist up. There is a choice of jackets for every season - spring, summer, autumn and winter. Examples of styles of jacket would be a Blazer - long and formal, a Bolero - short and smart or a winter fleece - designed to be warm. Winter Jackets are made from the thickest, most insulating materials - they have to be able to withstand colder and often freezing outdoor temperatures. Winter Jackets will often also have some form of waterproof layer covering them, this could be to protect against moisture from snow or rain. Some Winter Jackets are designeed with fashion in mind, produced in the season`s most popular colours and tailored in the latest style. Other jackets are designed for a different purpose, outdoor jackets tend to be produced to perform on the ski slope with warmth and durability paramount in their requirements. Jackets can be purchased from many different outlets both online and on the high street, there really is just so much choice.

Military Blazer
The other day my boyfriend and I were walking through the centre of Manchester when a strange figure demanded our attention. As we walked around the shops there suddenly came in front of us a really arresting figure. It was an old man of, perhaps, seventy years of age who was dressed head to foot in regalia. He had on a Military Blazerand cap and looked every inch the first world war soldier. His Military Blazerwas beautifully cut and presented, as was the rest of the outfit and he really made an impression. My boyfriend stopped him to ask him why he was dressed up like this on an ordinary afternoon in his Military Blazerand the rest of his fantastic outfit. His reply really stopped us both short. He explained that he had fought in the second world war and was really proud of what he had done there for his country. Contrary to a lot of people who fought in the war, he wanted to remember every second of it and he said the he found wearing his uniform on a regular basis made him feel as though he was still in the thick of things. We were both amazed and slightly humbled by his love for his country.

Transvestitism is something that has been prevalent throughout history. Although some may find the topic somewhat sensitive the reality is that being a Transvestite is quite common.
